Foam table

  • Free-running inlet roller.
  • Water-cooled doctor roller, diameter 240 mm, of thick-walled steel tube which is turned, ground and hard-chromium-plated.
  • The doctor roller is suspended in two slide brackets.
  • Manual adjustment of the distance between the doctor roller and the carpet to achieve the foam thickness required. Optionally, the height of the doctor roller can be controlled automatically by means of servo motors according to the height of the foam bank to obtain a constant foam thickness.
  • Gauge with digital readout (0.1 mm) of the position for repeatability.
  • During operation, it is possible to turn the doctor roller manually against the carpet direction for cleaning purposes.
  • Pneumatic quick-lift of the doctor roller allowing joints to pass.
  • The supporting table can be adjusted to obtain parallelity with the doctor roller or alternatively the doctor blade.
  • The supporting table is prepared for connection of a temperature stabilising water circuit. This prevents possible deflection caused by induced heat from the carpet, and consequently uniformity in the foam thickness is ensured.
  • Automatic foam distributor with infinitely variable speed regulation, position stops and reversible direction movement independent of position.
  • The stop time of the foam distributor on both sides can be changed on the control panel to ensure a uniform foam bank across the entire carpet width.
  • Edge limit posts for the foam bank. Individual selvedge alignment of the edge limit posts following the primary backing selvedge.
  • Optical selvedge alignment on both sides.
  • Separate control panel with necessary operating buttons.
  • Trough of stainless steel underneath the inlet roller for collection of latex and washings.
  • An alternative to the doctor roller could be a doctor blade suspended in tiltable brackets allowing carpet joints to pass.
